So every year I have a theme and a verse for the new year. This is my first blog for the year 2022 so ayyy Happy New Year! Haha. I pray and hope that your year has been going well and that all your goals and plans are coming together! Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

My verse for the year 2022 is Isaiah 45:1-3!

Isaiah 45:1-3
This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut! I will go before you and will LEVEL THE MOUNTAINS; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name!

Hallelujah! I love that verse. I have been declaring it and believing for open doors, for restoration and for new adventures. May it also encourage you when you lose hope and when you feel weary. May it remind you that our God is able. He is the key holder and no door He opens can be shut!

Recently I heard someone saying that mountains don’t only represent impossibilities or big things standing in our way, they also represent things that have been there for a long time! They represent delay, frustrations, hope deferred etc. They are strongholds that try to stand in the way of our promises and purpose. This is why sometimes they take time, faith and perseverance to address and defeat. It is therefore imperative to not give up! Find below a few more bunker busting scriptures to help you uproot any mountains in your way! It is come back season and the violent shall taketh by force! (Matthew 11:12)

Zechariah 4:7
Who art thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, “Grace, grace unto it.”

Micah 1:3-4
Look! The Lord is coming from his dwelling-place; he comes down and treads on the heights of the earth. The mountains melt beneath him and the valleys split apart, like wax before the fire, like water rushing down a slope.

No matter how big your problem is, speak to it and remind it of how much bigger God is! Write down some declarations and scriptures and declare IT IS WRITTEN! Do not to look at the natural but fix your eyes on the supernatural divine power of God. Nothing is too hard for our God!

Psalm 97: 5-6
The mountains melt like wax before the Lord, before the Lord of all the earth. The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory!

Habakkuk 3:6
He stood, and shook the earth; he looked, and made the nations tremble. The ancient mountains crumbled and the age-old hills collapsed - but he marches on forever!
